So, in the middle of everything today, we ran across a hellaciously distressed momma mallard and a bunch of her baby ducks that had fallen down a sewer grate. Another guy was already trying to fish them out, so my friend and I called animal control before we tried to fish the rest of them out. When Animal Control got there, we had all of them out and the mother duck quacking very happily. I was surprised - none of us got snapped at or hurt. I was even holding onto a bag at one point that had all of them in it and she just watched me.

I’m watching Season 7 episode 26 of Star Trek TNG, which is just Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker) hosting this “The Making of Star Trek TNG”. In the 7th season finale there is a scene where Captain Picard is standing in a vineyard that is supposed to be in France, where Picard is from, and Jonathan just explained that it was actually filmed in Temecula, California wine country! PATRICK STEWART WAS IN TEMECULA (when I was like 2 years old). Mind blown.

All my life I thought of myself as a visual learner because I always had to see it being done in order to understand and learn it. But when it came to music, which is not a visual medium, I learned that I had to hear it in order to understand it. So I have learned that I am an “experience learner”. I have to experience it to learn and understand, and I find that very interesting.
